Member Term Life Insurance, issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America (Prudential), can be an affordable way to help protect your family’s financial security if something happens to you. It can provide funds that your loved ones can use to help them maintain the lifestyle that you have helped provide for them by helping to pay the mortgage; credit card bills; funeral expenses or whatever else they may need it for.

Up to $500,000 of term life insurance coverage is available to SPARK members through the Member Term Life plan. Eligible dependents include the spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children from live birth to less than 26 years of age.

Coverage Options

Coverage amounts under the Member Term Life Plan for SPARK Members are in increments of $50,000. The maximum coverage amount is $500,000.

Coverage amounts for your eligible dependents are as follows:

Spouse/domestic partner: A multiple of $25,000 – maximum $250,000
Each child ($10,000): Each child is covered for the same benefit amount.

The amount of insurance for a dependent may not exceed 50% of your amount of insurance.

Who Is Eligible To Apply?

Members: All active members of SPARK under age 65 are eligible to apply for coverage in the Member Term Life Plan.

Eligible Dependents: Spouse/domestic partner under age 65, and dependent children from live birth to less than 26 years of age. Children include legally adopted children, step-children and foster children who depend on the attorney/employee for support and maintenance. Children also include grandchildren if they are considered dependents for federal income tax purposes.
